A guy named Leslie Parkhurst broke 23 speed records on a Harley-Davidson in 1920. The Harley-Davidson nickname 'Hog' came from the fact that the racing team used a pig as it's mascot. It was in 1933 that the gas (petrol) tanks where adorned with an eagle design, which marked the beginning of graphic designs on Harley-Davidsons. In 1971 Harley-Davidson invented the cruiser class of motorbike with the FX 1200 Super Glide. In 2003 250,000 people celebrated the 100th anniversary of Harley-Davidson in Milwaukee.
